1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by Synthetix Education Group LLC ("Synthetix", "the Academy", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Our services include but are not limited to our website (synthetix-academy.com), our educational curriculum, our proprietary AI design plugins, and our mentoring programs. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must immediately discontinue use of our services.

Synthetix Education Group LLC is a registered entity in the State of California, USA, with registration number 6582910. We are licensed and regulated by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) under license APP-2022-8812.

2. Services Description

Synthetix provides professional-level training in the field of AI-augmented design and generative intelligence. This includes the "AI Design Boot Camp", specialized self-paced modules, and corporate training solutions. While we strive to provide the most current and accurate information, the field of artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving. We reserve the right to modify our curriculum, toolsets, and instructional methodology at any time to reflect industry advancements without prior notice.

3. User Obligations and Code of Conduct

As a student or user of Synthetix services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during the enrollment process.
• Use our proprietary AI plugins and credits only for educational purposes related to the curriculum.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Adhere to our Ethical Design Guidelines, which prohibit the generation of harmful, discriminatory, or deceptive content.
• Respect the intellectual property rights of others, including not using AI tools to create unauthorized derivative works of copyrighted material.

Failure to adhere to these obligations may result in immediate termination of your access to our services without a refund.

4. Payment and Refund Policy

Tuition fees are stated in US Dollars and must be paid according to the selected plan (Upfront or Installments). Access to courses and AI tool credits is granted only after successful payment processing. Our refund policy is as follows:

• Full Refund: Within 7 days of the course start date, provided no more than two instructional modules have been accessed.
• Pro-rated Refund: After 7 days, refunds are calculated based on the percentage of curriculum completed, minus a $250 administrative fee and the cost of any AI tool credits already consumed.
• No Refund: After 50% of the course duration has elapsed.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Academy Content: All educational materials, including videos, text, proprietary plugins, and prompt frameworks provided by Synthetix, remain the exclusive intellectual property of Synthetix Education Group LLC. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use these materials for personal educational purposes only.

Student Work and AI Outputs: You retain ownership of the original design concepts you create. Regarding AI-generated outputs produced using tools provided through our platform, ownership is subject to the terms of the respective AI model providers (e.g., OpenAI, Midjourney). Synthetix makes no claim of ownership over student projects, but by enrolling, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to feature your work in our portfolio gallery and marketing materials for promotional purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synthetix Education Group LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services or the inability to use our services. We do not guarantee specific career outcomes, salary increases, or employment status as a result of completing our programs. The AI tools provided are "as is," and we make no warranties regarding their continuous availability or the accuracy of their outputs.

7. Risk Disclaimer

The field of generative design involves significant technological and industrial shifts. Students acknowledge that the skills taught are part of a rapidly changing landscape and that Synthetix is not responsible for future changes in tool availability, AI regulations, or industry standards that may impact the utility of the skills acquired.

8. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive your right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
